Jimmie Johnson won't race this end of the week in NASCAR's Cup Series road race in Chicago following the passings of his in-laws and a nephew in Oklahoma.

The groups of Jack Janway, 69; his better half, Terry Janway, 68; and their grandson Dalton Janway, 11, were found Monday at a home in Muskogee, Oklahoma, situated around 50 miles southeast of Tulsa, Muskogee police representative Lynn Hamlin said. Hamlin said examiners accept Terry Janway shot and killed her significant other and grandson prior to shooting herself.

NASCAR this week is planning for its initial introduction to road course hustling. Johnson, a seven-time Cup Series champion, is dashing on a parttime premise this year as co-proprietor of Heritage Engine Club. He drives the No. 84 Carvana Chevrolet.

"The Johnson family has requested security right now and no further assertions will be made," Heritage Engine Club said in a tweet.

"We are disheartened by the unfortunate passings of individuals from Chandra Johnson's family," NASCAR said in a proclamation. "The whole NASCAR family expands its most profound help and sympathies during this troublesome opportunity to Chandra, Jimmie and the whole Johnson and Janway families.
